The Builders' Board, Site updates
Each new thing in Glimmeria gets a pin here, newest on top. Small fixes share one card a week.

Small fixes, week of Oct 12
- When your Glimling beats a rival at the Brawl Bowl, the Town Crier calls it out, once a day.
- The page visitors see before they log in is shorter. Its Around Glimmeria box mixes new Glimlings, arcade scores, Brawl Bowl wins and auction lots.
- Story characters holding a flag or balloons stay fully on screen, in every chapter and in the Book Two duel.
- When a story scene goes dim, only the backdrop darkens. The characters stay bright.
- On laptop screens the story's dialogue box is slimmer and the characters stand higher, so their faces stay clear. The three replies sit in one row.
- The ? on your Glimling's panel now sits at the end of the Health row, so the panel is one row shorter.
- Cooked dishes in the Owlmanac say they fill 10 of 10, because the Hunger meter stops there.
- On Home, your Glimling's day card marks picks with a star and Goal Post jobs with a little lantern after the name. A short key under the list says what they mean.
- The Dailies Noticeboard counts down to the reset at midnight Glimmeria time.
- Your Nest opens the way visitors see it. Tap Decorate to move things around.
- Collection moved up to the second tile in More, and all your stickers are in one row there.
- Your level now sits in a numbered star, so the shard icon only ever means Glimmers.
- Flyer buttons that take you somewhere name the place. Buttons that only wobble have a dashed edge.
- Three things have new names: the daily stamp card is the visit card, paid arcade games are prize runs, and longtime keepers have a town regular tag by their name.
- Search understands everyday words now. Try mail, food or sell.
- On desktop, Home has a row of links to Dailies, the Goal Post, Story, Moonlit Picnic and the Builders' Board.
- Home's Feed button shows up once your Glimling is peckish, and the Grocer marks food that might upset a tummy.
- The Owlmanac says what each item does, including how much a food fills. Lost items and star chart pieces in your backpack say where to take them.
- Coupon flyers no longer promise discounts the shops didn't give. Gourdlight Doorsteps shows its opening day, October 24.
- Reading this board now stamps your passport. The stamp never came before, because there's nothing to buy or play here.
- Thimble & Thread sends at most one new-cart notice a week. The cart still rolls in as often as before.
- With all five Hatchery spots full, the banner fits inside its card and the note under the title is centered.
- The More menu on phones has two new tiles, Collection and Hatchery, which fill its last row.
- After a guess, a duel turn or a slide in the story, the page stays on the puzzle instead of jumping back to the top.
- Finishing the Sunk Off the Pier series unlocks the Ruin Steps backdrop and the Hand on the rail pose for your Look Book photos.
- Pieces in closed Look Book rows hold still until you open them, so the page runs smoother on phones and laptops.
- Guestbook notes tuck Report and Delete into a ··· menu, so the note gets the full width on phones.
- Glimling Roll Call no longer has a sidebar, and on desktop all five Glimlings fit in one row.
- On desktop, the Switch Glimling row in the sidebar fits on one line.
- Empty and filled spots on the Plushie Shelf line up now.
- The rack tabs at Thimble & Thread look like fabric swatches: gingham for the cart, rainbow for Pride and orange felt for Gourdlight.

New art for Book Two
All seven Book Two scenes are redrawn under a green and violet aurora, lit warm by lamps and Flicker's jars. In the mirror cave you can tell which mirrors face you and which are turned to the wall. The last scene is dawn on Frostpeak's summit, looking down on Glimmeria with every lamp standing straight again.
-
Shop tiles you can read at a glance
Each item on a shop shelf says in a few words what it does, next to the same icons your Glimling's meters use. Food shows how much Hunger it fills as lit pips out of 10. The full descriptions are still in your backpack and the Owlmanac.
-
Clearer place names
Each place uses the same name on the map, on its page and in its web address, with a plain word under the fancy one. Land lists say what each place is for. Market Stalls lists every open stall with players' stalls first, and the Shops page has a Sell and trade corner.
-
See what an item does before you buy it
Shop tiles and your backpack show what each item does: how much a food fills, which stat a tonic raises and for how long, and which slot a wearable goes in. Every daily now ends with a receipt of what you earned, XP and picnic slices included.
-
Nanny's Handbook
Nanny's Handbook explains the words you see around the site: Glimmers, tickets, Glow, energy, picks, the visit card and more. Each entry has a Right now line with your own numbers. Tap the small ? beside a tag on Home to jump to its entry, or the one by your Glimling's meters to read what they mean.
-
A tidier Gazette
Daily Darlings and the Town Poll are inside the paper now, and back issues sit at the bottom of every section. Town News lists players first and folds repeat townsfolk news into one line. If nobody has raced or brawled lately, Sports shows the last result and the day it happened. On phones, the six sections show as two rows of buttons, and the front page ends with short links to the rest of the paper.
-
Archie's table at the Drafting Loft
Archie Plumbline pins the two builds that are selling shares onto his desk, each drawn on its own patch of land. Pick 10, 50, 250 or all the shares left, check the price and what they pay, then tap Buy. A new build pays 3 Glimmers per share each day for its first 30 days open, then 1. Finished builds hang as postcards that show what each one has paid you.
-
Town Poll results fill glow jars
The results stay hidden until you ring the bell. Then each of your Glimlings drops a paper ballot in the box, with its answer checked and its quirk written underneath, and the town's votes fill four jars with glow. If your active Glimling picked the top answer, you win 150 Glimmers, and each time you ring, it counts toward its daily XP. Yesterday's result sits under the question, and 40 new questions join the list starting October 16.
-
Geode or town builds?
A new card under your geode compares two places to put your Glimmers. The geode adds 3% once. Drafting Loft shares pay 3 Glimmers a share each day for a build's first 30 days after it opens, and 1 a day after that. Each open build has a bar showing how close it is to fully funded. If you have 20,000 Glimmers or more, your Glimling's day card on Home adds a row for the build closest to done.
-
Book Two: The Star in the Glacier
Professor Flicker flew off to Frostpeak with a jar of stolen light, and in Book Two you follow him up the mountain with Wren and Old Knotwell. Read a snow globe's memory, slide a lantern across the glacier, and turn the mirrors in a cave until the beam finds what's frozen in the ice. In the last chapter, Flicker fights back for the first time. Book Two opens after you finish Book One.
-
New finds at the Pearl Drop
Dives now bring up a barnacled diving set for the Look Book, sea ingredients for three new Hearthside Pot dishes, Fizzing Kelp that gives your Glimling one more prize run, and purses of Glimmers. Rustle bought back any training pebbles you still had and paid you half their price.
-
The Wardrobe groups your pieces by series
Choose who you're dressing from the row of faces above the mirror. Each slot sits next to the part of your Glimling it dresses and shows the full name of what your Glimling is wearing there. Your pieces are grouped by Look Book series, newest first, and a glint marks the rare ones.
-
A board for what's new
Every pin has a Try it button that takes you straight there. When there's a pin you haven't read, a dot shows on the board's tile in More and on its spot on the Glimmer Square map.
-
A token booth at the Bubble Arcade
Tickets and energy now share one card at the top of the arcade, drawn as a booth under a striped awning. Your Glimling leans out the window to tell you how much play it has left, and its energy sits in the tray as gold tokens. Tap the ticket spool to go to Tickety's Prize Counter.
-
A painted banner for Settings
A blue Inklet painted the five themes as patches on a taped-up sheet. A check mark is pinned to the theme you use and moves when you pick another, and the wall and paint pot change to your theme's colors.
-
Friend requests
Adding a friend now sends a request, and you become friends once they accept. Accept or decline on the Friends page, from the bell on desktop, or on Home's Friends today card. A number on the Friends tab and the More button means someone is waiting.
-
Your friends come first on the Friends page
Your friends list used to sit six cards down the page. Now it's near the top, one row per friend, with their Glimling's face, where it is today and the best thing it did. Each row has a Write a letter button, and Visit stall, Trades and Remove are in the ··· menu.
-
Pick a page theme
Settings has five page themes: Lilac, Plum night, Frostpeak, Saffron and Mossmire. One tap recolors the page, cards and buttons. Land banners and Glimlings keep their own colors.
-
Land pages open on a map
Each land page now starts with a map that has a numbered pin for every place. A pin sparkles when its daily is ready, and the faces dotted around are keepers who are in that land right now.
-
Bring a friend, split a glimshard
The Friends page has a sign-up link with your name on it. When a friend joins with it and comes back the next day, you each get half of a glimshard pendant engraved with the other's name. The pair glows on days you both wear your halves.
-
Glasses get their own slot
The Wardrobe has a new Eyes slot, so a Glimling can wear a hat and shades at the same time. Thimble & Thread added four pairs to go with it: Round Reading Specs, Star Shades, Cat-Eye Glasses and Paper 3D Specs.
Week of Oct 5

Small fixes, week of Oct 5
- Every catch at Glowlight Pond does something now. Five fish and finds that only went in the catch log were swapped for ones that help your Glimling.
- The Glimmer geode fills in three days instead of seven, with one named stage a day.
- Two Glimlings share the Daily Darling stage each day.
- Thimble & Thread is split into Cart, Pride and Gourdlight tabs, so the shop is much shorter on a phone.
- Your Glimling brings you surprises four to six times a day, at least five minutes apart, and holds them while you play an arcade game.
- The Funnies have 31 new strips, and none repeats until every strip has run once.
-
Totally Throwback pieces
Eighteen pieces from the schoolyard, the mall and the skate park are on the Thimble & Thread cart. The rare ones are a lava lamp, a skateboard and a boombox, and nearly all of them move. Finish the series in the Look Book to get a laser-streak picture-day backdrop.
-
Two new Glimlings: Starfling and Inklet
A Starfling fell in the Starfall, and its chipped point grows back as it levels up. An Inklet has eight arms and seals your Pigeon Post letters with a blot of ink. You can hatch either one at the Creation Hatchery.
-
Three cups at the Coconut Derby
The cups are Sandcastle, Quay and Starfall, and winning one opens the next. You tap to run the race live, and each species has its own running style. Your first win in each cup pays a ribbon, a new tier on your podium trophy and a wardrobe set.
-
New arrivals at Second Chance Cottage
One or two Glimlings arrive at the cottage each day and stay about five days. Each one wears a dye-drop look, rare ones included, and wants something different from the keeper who takes it home.
-
The Pride Rack
Thimble & Thread has a rack that never sells out: 13 felt hand flags and six rainbow parade pieces, from the Progress flag to a feather boa. Together they make up the Every Color Parade series in the Look Book.
-
Snowglobe Slope
A new arcade puzzle set inside Old Knotwell's snow globe. Throw snowballs at the frost sprites, solve their math for starlight shards, and spend the shards to melt his buried treasure out of the ice. Get three wrong between digs and a gust buries the treasure you dug out last.
-
Fifteen new looks at Prism & Pigment
Denim, Marble, Stained Glass, Holo, Jelly and ten more dye drops are on the shelf, and every dye costs less than before. Candy Corn, Carved, Maple and Cobwebbed are sold in October only.
-
Stamp Album, Card Binder and Plushie Shelf
The Keepsake Album is gone. Stamps, cards and plushies each have their own page in Cogwhistle, next to The Tinker's Cabinet, with a printed spot for every piece. Twenty-four new pieces came with them. Once you put a piece in, it stays there.
Week of Sep 28

Small fixes, week of Sep 28
- Home's login streak is now a stamp card: five stamps, each inked with the first land you visited that day.
- Wearables, stamps, cards, plushies and stickers don't take up backpack space and have their own Cosmetics tab.
- Arcade games pay like a daily now: medals are worth far more than before, and so is a personal best.
- One Music switch covers the whole site, games included. It starts off.
- The title next to your name is on a brass nameplate now.
-
Mote's Star Sifter
Mote Trunkett's sifter replaces the Stardust Tablets. Once a day you pick one of three dust piles, each from a different land. About two sifts in three turn up a charm for your Glimling's 24-charm bracelet. Any star tablets you still have buy extra sifts.
-
A free spin on the Whirligig of Wishes
You get one free spin a day, and each slice is as wide as its odds. Before you spin, you can wish on a slice. If the wheel stops there, the prize gets better: double Glimmers, a shiny Pocket Pal, or your pick of the five Whirligig pieces.
-
Glimlings level up from everything you do
Care, dailies, the Goal Post, arcade medals, the Brawl Bowl and the Pebble Dojo all count toward your Glimling's level now, each up to a daily limit. Level 30 is the top, about three months away if you do a bit of everything every day.
-
Pocket Pals Series 2
The capsule machine has a second series: twelve townsfolk at work, from Marta the Grocer to Twisty Tam. It opens once you finish your Series 1 set. Your first twist each day is free, and Tam will trade you another twist for three spare figures.
-
The Look Book
Every piece your Glimlings have held or worn goes into the Look Book, sorted into small series. Finish a series and your portraits get a new backdrop and pose. Selling a piece doesn't remove it from the page.
-
Story mode plays out on a stage
The story now plays one line at a time, with the cast on a stage in front of each scene. You can go back a line or open the log to reread. Each chapter ends with a puzzle, and somebody leaves a clue for it along the way.
